History

kunstfokus was founded in 2007.  The idea behind the founding of kunstfokus was based on the recurring desire of friends and acquaintances to find artworks that met their individual needs. In most cases, they lacked both time  and/or knowledge to find suitable artworks. This resulted in a continuously growing art platform. that today includes approximately 60 Swiss based artists. These are chosen to represent a varity of different genres and stylistic directions. For many years we have been consulting both companies and hospitals in creating and/or expanding their art collections. Our strategy involves creating comprehensive art concepts that includes the art that is already on site.  

Philosophy

Fascinated by the ever changing contemporary art scene, and the constant development of individual artists work we continually visit artist studios to discover new works. Our focus is on local Swiss artists, as we aim to help them survive in a fast-moving art scene. We offer our customers the possibility to meet the artists personally in their ateliers. Such encounters are usually exciting and fruitful – they offer the opportunity for art to become more personal and more accessible.
